Lima - Organic Shoyu Mild Soya Sauce

Founded in 1957 by Belgian entrepreneur Mr. Pierre Gevaert, Lima draws its inspiration from George Ohsawa, the Japanese pioneer of Macrobiotics. Lima firmly believes that life is enriched when humans live in harmony with all other forms of life on Earth. Here, the purity of Japanese-inspired vegan cuisine meets the essence of mindful living. Explore Lima’s curated selection of meticulously crafted products, each bearing the harmonious fusion of sustainability, taste, and tradition.
Lima's Shoyu Mild is an organic soy and wheat sauce that is naturally brewed and fermented for 6 to 8 months. It enhances dishes with its unique umami taste. Made with deep respect for Japanese traditions and quality, this Shoyu sauce offers a milder taste compared to Tamari. For over 50 years Shoyu has been part of the Lima assortment, ensuring a time-tested flavor experience and quality.
Shoyu should be added at the end of the preparation process, to avoid prolonged heating and maintain its delicious flavour. Shoyu works well with pickles, wok dishes, rice, noodles, sushi, sashimi or steamed vegetables. It is delicious in combination with mirin (rice wine), wasabi or grated daikon.
